The CAMWorks Handbook has been updated for CAMWorks 2013!

Along with the updated information in the book, users now have the option to buy a color or non-color version of the book. The non-color version can be bought at a lower price based on the difference in publication costs.  The book has also added metric/inch values to allow the book to be used in all areas of the world.

About the Book,

The CAMWorks Handbook offers concise, step-by-step instructions on creating toolpaths using best in class machining strategies. This book also covers the Technology Data base along with linking the database to SQL. The 14 Lessons illustrate a variety of useful CAMWorks commands. Topics covered include 2.5 axis, 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis milling. This book also demonstrates creating geometry from SolidWorks, using commands like Axis, Sketch and Coordinate system features.

What is the CAMWorks Handbook?

The CAMWorks guide is a training and reference guide rolled into one easy-to-understand book. The book has lessons just like traditional training materials which allow the user to follow along and create toolpaths using sample files that are already installed with the CAMWorks software.

The users will also have chapters they can use for reference that explain the options used in the previous lessons. These chapters will allow the user to reference the book continuously, unlike average training books that are used just once to learn the software.

What information is covered in the first book?

The first book will cover Milling (up to 5 axis), the Technology Database and Assembly Machining.  Users will also learn to use Automatic Feature Recognition, Interactive Machining and SolidWorks tips and tricks.  (CamWorks Solids tips and tricks will be included throughout the book.)

Users will also learn how to customize and set up the Technology database to enhance the shop productivity and leverage the automation found in CAMWorks.  This will include creating custom tools, adding user-specific tools, and managing the database through Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL.
